Sneak Peek of The Venue at White Oak Farms

Construction Sign in our entrance!  The day it went up, I'm pretty sure I cried happy tears.

First, I want to thank everyone for their support of our construction project and family business-The Venue at White Oak Farms.  Josh and I get stopped all the time asking about the project, and we are so appreciative of everyone's interest!  The Venue is always available for private tours, but I also wanted to share the progress with what's happening here at The Venue at White Oak Farms.  I have to tell you that the weather we've been having is NOT what I had hoped for during a construction project.  We've had one of the wettest winters, and that has not helped us with our timeline.  I've never looked at a forecast more in my life than I have in last 6-9 months.  But, Fisher Construction, who we've partnered with, has done an amazing job of working diligently to keep the project running smoothly (despite our weather hiccups).  Josh and I really do feel blessed that we chose them for building our venue.

Excuse the mud...it's all part of a construction project!  This entrance is going to be ah-mazing!

Now, I'm going to share some inside pictures.  When our family walks around, it really is surreal in here.  We are actually walking inside a building that we dreamed up and created, with the help of Joe Shearin at Fisher.  I have been able to take years of event planning and working with brides/grooms and vendors and create a space that is unique to any other venue.  I literally took things I loved from other venues and merged them into a unique design.  The fact that we get to do this on our own property is icing on the cake!

To some of you, you may just see walls and bare floors.  You may not be able to look past the nails and tools lying around.  I totally get that-sometimes it's hard to envision the finished project.  But, I promise, you will want to stay tuned to the progress of this space.  Josh and I have so much in store for you!

This will be part of the main entrance/lobby area.  I'm working on something really cool for this entrance wall.

Three sets of double doors that lead from the main hall to the outdoor courtyard.  I envision cocktail hours and ceremonies happening out here.

Probably one of my favorite shots that was taken recently.  This shows a view of the main hall looking up into the upstairs area.  I cannot wait until our first bride takes the stairs to descend down for a ceremony!  The Belle (the bridal suite) and The Beaux (the groom's suite) are located upstairs.

The covered porch-still under construction, but this will be the perfect hangout spot for guests.  Corn hole games can happen in the side courtyard; cocktail hours can take place on this porch or an intimate rehearsal dinner can happen out here.  The sunsets from this porch are unbelievable!
