Planning Your White Oak Farms Wedding

We have realized in the last year that West Tennessee destination weddings are very popular! People love how beautiful this part of the country is, as well as the weather, and the fact that there is plenty to do! Jackson, especially, is popular because of its location between Memphis and Nashville! Both of those cities are top tourist destinations, and we are in the middle of both of them.

There is so much to experience here in West Tennessee, and many brides are choosing to host destination weddings here.

White Oak Farms is located in Medina, Tennessee, just 12 miles outside of north Jackson, and a few miles of off I-40 (super easy for guests traveling from Memphis and/or Nashville). We have plenty around here to keep you and your guests entertained! So if you're considering a destination wedding, White Oak Farms in Medina, Tennessee is the place for you.

We want to provide you with some of the best food & activities in our area to try out before your wedding (or so you can keep your family entertained while you're busy with wedding things!).

Best Coffee:

Modero Coffee Roasters

Aka, the hidden coffee gem. This perfect little shop is located on Union University's campus inside the library. If you're unsure where the library is, you can't miss it. It's the giant building in the middle of campus with the dome. Started and run by students, this shop serves the finest coffee in Jackson. Why? Because they roast their own beans in house and only go through the best importers. This is not something you'll want to pass up!

Best Activities:

Jackson Escape Rooms

Designed and run by locals, Lee and Beth Wilson, this place is perfect for a group of people who love mind games, pressure, and fun. There are several different rooms to play in, each is designed with a different theme, and they're always changing. Play as many rooms as you like while you're there! Trust us, you won't regret putting this on your "must do" list!

More fun:

Jackson Generals Baseball, West Tennessee Farmer's Market, Pinson Mounds, Cypress Grove Nature Park

Best Food:

Tulum

If you're like us, you LOVE Mexican food. Who doesn't, really? Lucky for you-authentic Mexican is easily accessible in Jackson! They have two locations, but you can't go wrong either way. Anything you order off of their menu will be incredible, but they are famous for their Baja Fish Tacos! YUM.

More great eats:

Rock'n Dough, Picasso, Flatiron Grille, Old Town Spaghetti Store, Asia Garden, Smokin' Hot BBQ (Milan, TN), Main Street Grill (Medina, TN)

Best Shopping:

The local

This is a shopping experience so unique to West Tennessee. The Local is a collection of small shops curated by local entrepreneurs. If you're wanting to take part of West Tenn home with you, this is the place to go. Trista Havner and Lisa Garner share the Hub City Love/Garner Blue Shop -- here you can find hand lettered treasures of all kinds, plants, shirts, etc. by Trista, and Lisa creates the most beautiful hand dyed pieces that you really can't live without. Chase Walker owns The Lost Reserve where you can go to find vintage clothing and countless records. Chrystal King owns Indigo Scents Candle Co. -- guess what you can find here? Yep, all the smell goods. Be sure and check them out!

More Great Shops:

Mam'selle, The Shoppes of Seven Three One, The Urban Cottage, The Queen Bees

Best Dessert:

Maggie Moo's

A local favorite! Maggie Moo's is the best ice cream around. As soon as you walk in, you are overwhelmed by the smell of freshly made waffle cones and sweet ice cream. They have tons of different flavors of ice cream, and the extras are endless as well. Plus, they just started making "Majestic Shakes" -- be sure and ask about them!

More Sweets:

J-Petal, Creamer's, Janabelle's Bakery

 Unique Dining Experience:

The Grind, Martin TN

The Grind, located about 50 minutes from Jackson/Medina, is becoming the region’s hottest dining experiences. From the infamous Luther burger smashed between two grilled donuts to the over-the-top milkshakes that both adults and kids love, it’s a place ALL of your guests will enjoy visiting.
